Wintervalk Bells

You can bring a variety of bells to wear or carry during the Wintervalk parade. 

Our procession will sweep through the city with cheerful spirit, with the ringing of bells echoing and tinkling like the falling of delicate snowflakes.
 
Ringing your own bells is a great way to contribute to the event and add to the fun and frivolity.

Musical instrument bells have a great sound and are surprisingly cheap, starting from $5 for wrist bands and extending to around $15 for good quality musical bell wands. For the full range check out:

Examples of good bells to bring can include:

  • Adornment and jewellery bells to add to your clothing, such as brooches, trims and accessories
  • Musical 'sleigh' bells to wear on your wrists or play as instruments
  • Brass bells to carry and ring

Decorative bells and jewellery can often be found in op-shops, second-hand stores and in antique shops.

Individual round bells can be bought in bulk, in a wide variety of different sizes, from import stores and $2 shops, craft supply stores and sewing and haberdashery superstores such as Spotlight and Lincraft.
