THE PARADE PATH AND PICNIC AREA

SAFETY FIRST! 

• Please KEEP LEFT when walking on city footpaths and allow room for other pedestrians to share the footpath. 
• Take EXTRA CAUTION when crossing each intersection - watch for any speeding emergency vehicles coming through that will not be obeying ordinary traffic control signs. 
• DO NOT CROSS when the red man light flashes - Stop on the footpath and let the paraders behind you catch up to you. 
• Please keep an eye on any children who may be walking near you and behave safely at all times.

• Do not spread out off the footpath and onto the road at any time.
  If you must stop, please move next to a wall so that you do not
  obstruct the footpath.

BAG MINDING
Bags / prams can be left at the start in the marshalling area with the Bag-Minders and collected when you return. There will be at least two bag minders, possibly more. One of the bag minders will stay until the very last bag is collected. Any bags left behind will be taken over to the picnic area and placed in the care of the event managers, so if you are delayed for any reason, never fear. We'll look after your bags.

DURATION
Total parade time, including stops - approximately 1 hour.

RUNNING LATE
If you are running late you can try to intercept the parade at one of the Catch Up Points, but we recommend you go straight to the Treasury Gardens and wait for the group to return. The Raders will not begin setting up in the Fitzroy Gardens until after 3pm.

TOILETS AND DRINKING WATER FOUNTAINS
There are two toilets in the park, and at least two water bubblers / drinking fountains.
