HOW the ‘CARMEN SANDIEGO’ GAME WORKS
Teams follow a series of clues hidden in the city to track down the infamous master thief Carmen Sandiego before she escapes with one of Melbourne’s most iconic treasures. The first team to find and arrest Carmen wins the game. One clue will be given at the start. Players must locate the game characters hidden throughout the city and interact with them. Teams have four hours to complete the game This game was held before, on August 27 2010 as the ‘Where In Melbourne Is Carmen Sandiego?’ 2010 event. Players who have attended this event will be familiar with the format of the game, but all the clues and locations are entirely new. Instructions for the game will be explained in full at the Sign-Up / Marshalling Area on the day. __________________________________________________ GAME START LOCATION 1pm State Library Swanston Street (corner Latrobe) Melbourne Victoria, Australia _________________________________________________ TEAM SIGN-UP All team members must be signed in and present before the game begins. Each team needs a Team Captain who can be contacted by mobile phone by the organisers during the game (e.g. if a road gets blocked all players will be texted an alternate game route). Sign up will begin at 12:30pm at The State Library, and end at 12:55pm. Please bring $10 cash to play. All players must adhere to these rules:
Any player who behaves in a disruptive, antisocial, or dangerous manner will get their whole team dishonourably discharged from the ACME Detective Agency and may be banned from future events. |
