PIRATE QUEST - GAME RULES

HOW the 'PIRATE QUEST' GAME WORKS

Teams follow a series of clues hidden in the city to find a stolen treasure. The first team to find the true location of this treasure wins the game.

One clue will be given at the start of the game. Players must find the pirate characters hidden throughout the city and interact with them to collect pieces of a map. Characters may set you a task to complete before they give you the next piece of the map. Once you have assembled your map and taken it to the Oracle you will learn the location of the treasure.

This game is similar to 'Where In Melbourne Is Carmen Sandiego?' Race Game Day, except Pirate Quest is a non-linear circuit. This means at each checkpoint location you will be given options on where to go next. The experience of the game, and the flow of its story, will be determined by YOU.

CODE of CONDUCT

All players must adhere to these rules:

  • Don’t block footpaths, shop entrances, or anywhere people need to be
  • Be EXTREMELY CAREFUL when crossing roads and moving around traffic. This is a race through the city and it’s potentially hazardous. Please take very good care of your team mates!
  • Behave with honour, courtesy and respect towards each other. If we don’t behave well our game will be shut down and we’ll never get to host another one. Everything we do during the game will reflect on everyone involved with, playing, and organising the game.
  • Please be very kind and reasonably quiet when entering any shops or resturants during the game. Venues that have very generously let us enter their premises as part of the game are trusting that while we are running around being detectives and gangsters we will not interrupt  their business or disturb their customers.

Any player who behaves in a disruptive, antisocial, or dangerous manner will get their whole team disqualified from the game and banned from future events.
