GAME RULES

HOW the ‘SECRET AGENT’ GAME WORKS

Teams follow a series of clues hidden in the city to track down the Agents hidden across Melbourne CBD, solving puzzles and completing small tasks to progress through the circuit.

One clue will be given at the start. Players must locate the game characters hidden throughout the city and interact with them. Teams have four hours to complete the game

Instructions for the game will be explained in full at the Sign-Up / Marshalling Area on the day.

WHAT TO BRING

$25 to play (exact change is extremely helpful!)
Water/drink to carry
Money for snacks, and After Party meals
Mobile phone
Map of the city
ID for After Party entry (in case venue asks)
Myki card (if you want to use trams during the race)
Camera (if you want shots of your buddies playing the game)
A small bag to carry your game items


DRESS CODE

Team costumes are encouraged!
Dress as Secret Agents, James Bond characters, Archer characters, International Spies, MIB, KGB or anything you like!

A team-theme dress style will help unify your team mates and make it easier to find each other if you get separated, plus it will increase your awesomeness.


COSTUME WEAPONS

You may bring accessories as part of your outfit but you cannot bring anything that looks like a real weapon. I.E.  guns must have orange nozzle caps and any fake weapons must be very conspicuously plastic at a glance.  Any weapons that can mistaken for being real can cause genuine alarm and result in you being arrested. Sounds dramatic, but it can and does happen, so don't risk it!

Never point your weapons at anyone who is not part of the game.
WHAT TO DO

  4. Buy Tickets

2 - 6 players per team
All team members must be signed in and present before the game begins.

Each team needs a Team Captain who can be contacted by mobile phone by the organisers during the game (e.g. if a road gets blocked all players will be texted an alternate game route).

Sign up will begin at 12:30pm at The State Library, and end at 12:55pm.

CODE of CONDUCT

All players must adhere to these rules while playing:

  • Be EXTREMELY CAREFUL when crossing roads and moving around traffic. This is a race through the city and it’s potentially hazardous. Take very good care of your team mates!
  • If your team must stop on a footpath please move next to a wall so that you are not blocking the walkway, shop entrances or anywhere people need to be. If anyone requests that you move out of an area for any reason please follow their instructions immediately
  • Behave with honour, courtesy and respect towards each other and towards the people in the city. Do not engage in any dangerous or threatening behaviour towards pedestrians in the city
  • When entering any shops or resturants during the game please do so slowly and quietly in order to not interrupt their business or disturb their customers.

REGISTER MY TEAM

To sign-in your team - look for the Game Marshalls with black clipboards at the Treasury Gardens.

If you have already registered your team look for the agents signing up teams from A - K, and L - Z.

If you do not have a registered team you need to sign-up with your Team Name, Team Captain and make sure all your players are signed-in and paid $25 each before the game starts.

12:40 - 12:55 is Sign-Up Time.
