THE FAERIE COURT

THE FAERIE QUEEN AND FAERIE KING
The Queen and King will serve as the main featured characters of the Rade, the charming leaders of all the Fae Folk.

THE HERALD
With a booming voice and commanding presence, The Herald will call all the Fae Folk into the Rade and help to organise the ranks before we set off in our procession through Melbourne town.

GIFT BEARERS
Fae Folk who are happy to carry a basket or satchel of Fancies - small gifts made by the Faeries to be given to humans.

GIFT GIVERS
The Brave, the Bright and the Sociable who delight in giving out gifts and approaching humans. The Gift Givers occasionally step out of the procession to give gifts to people watching or passing by. The Gift Givers must have a gentle and kind disposition so the humans are not startled or mistrustful when suddenly being approached and given things by Fae Folk.

FLAG BEARERS
Anyone bringing or carrying a flag or streamer is a Flag Bearer. The Bearers will be arranged at the front and back or the procession, and around the Royal Court.

MUSICIANS
Flutes, bells, drums and percussion. If you can play in time with others, please bring your instruments! All acoustic instruments are welcome if they are easy for you to carry and play while walking. If you have a small musical troupe or band that would like to feature in the Rade please CONTACT Golden Owl Events and tell us more about what you would like to do!
